Please Take Responsibility, It’s What Grown-ups Do

energy

Ever walked into a room and felt like the energy in the place was positive and uplifting and just generally gave you good feelings?

I have.

On the flip side, ever walked into a room and felt like the energy in the place was negative and nerve-wracking and generally gave you bad vibes?

Me too.

When I spied this little photo online I couldn’t help but borrow it for a future post because I agree with its statement. Each of us has to take responsibility for the energy (positive, negative, good, or bad) that we bring with us into every room we enter (at home, at work, at a friend’s house, out in public, everywhere.)

Easier said than done I know.

But I believe this “take responsibility” motto gets a little less cumbersome when we realize how much our attitudes (good and bad) effect the people around us.

None of us lives in a vaccuum…what’s happening on the inside of us seeps through to the outside more than we believe.

Our facial expressions change.
Our body language is different.
The energy with which we tackle challenges corresponds to our attitude.

Lord, help us exhibit an attitude from our hearts that is uplifting to others and trusting toward You. Amen and Amen.
